Introduction to Intellectual Property
A patent is not a right to practice or use the invention. Rather, a patent provides the right to exclude others from making, using, selling, offering for sale, or importing the patented invention for the terms of the patent.
ConnectONE scheduled a talk on "Introduction to Intellectual Property: Patents" on 8th December, 2011 Thursday by Mr. Narayanan. The talk focused on detailed overview on patents – patent vocabulary, application filing procedures and processes, national and international implications: how, what, where, when, and why on Patents.
About the speaker: Mr.Narayanan
Mr.Narayanan has over 20 years of experience in industry and academia; and has broad exposure to emerging societal trends. He leads the IPR initiatives at Amrita University. He holds Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and has double master's degree in Energy and Environmental Economics (Management).
