Dr. Diana Wais from London Business School talks about Business Success Factors
ConnectONE & Amrita TBI announced the commencement of Distinguished Lecture Series. This series will have successful entrepreneurs as well as experts in the field of science, engineering and medicine from all over the world.
As part of this series, there was a talk on "The factor that predicts Success in Business" on 6th September, 2011 by Dr. Diana Wais, an entrepreneur & consultant at London Business School. She emphasized on the factors that helped companies to perform consistently. She also focused on the necessity of educational programs to develop these abilities and the implications this has for societal change.
Intelligence and technical expertise are certainly necessary to succeed in any professional field, but research is consistently showing that another critical factor separates outstanding performers from merely adequate ones: a level of personality development that masters leadership, psychological, social and communication skills. Dr.Diana is an entrepreneur and executive leadership consultant who teaches at London business school. She emphasized on the factors that helped companies to perform consistently. She also focused on the necessity of educational programs to develop these abilities and the implications this has for societal change.
About the speaker: Dr. Diana Wais
Dr. Diana Wais, an entrepreneur and executive leadership consultant who teaches at London Business School. She is known for her research on factors affecting human success and transformation. With diverse interests and research in neural networks and its underpinnings on emotional and relational functioning and processes, she has translated this research into education, intervention and development programs.
Ms.Wais holds an MS from Stanford and PhD in Clinical Psychology from SUNY, Stony brook. She served on the advisory committee of former Vice President Al Gore on his sustainable development campaign; and the Skoll Foundation on the psychological underpinnings of social entrepreneurs.
